It’s “sweata weatha!” And I’ve got great news—your wool and cashmere items can be laundered at home and do not need dry cleaning (even if the tag says so).
In this video I’m showing you how to properly care for your treasured knits at home so you can keep them looking great for years and years.
I’ve captioned the video for you, but here’s the process in a nutshell:
PRE-TREAT Deal with any stains using The Laundress Stain Solution or Wash & Stain Bar, and treat any odors using their Scented Vinegar.
LAUNDER Hand wash or machine wash in a mesh bag, and use The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Shampoo to clean.
FINISH Hang to dry or lay flat on a towel. To speed up drying, you can roll up the towel to absorb the water faster. Once dry, de-pill the garment with the Sweater Comb or Sweater Stone and/or remove lint with the Cashmere Brush.
MAINTENANCE To keep knits fresh, spray The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Spray in between washes. It has antibacterial properties and the Cedar scent is a natural bug repellent to protect knits.
